Held over 5 days at the purpose-built Michael Centre in the leafy outer eastern Melbourne suburb of Warranwood, the two part conference aims to explore understanding and caring for human beings through the life cycle, from child development, through health and illness, with a special focus on cancer as a life challenge, and coming to the end-of-life of the human being. Anthroposophic medicine from its very beginnings, has incorporated nursing care, manual and artistic therapies and medical work, all vital to the practice of Anthroposophic medical care. You can attend either or both parts of the conference, or the public lectures separately if you are interested in finding out more.
There is a selection of Specialist Conferences over the first two days, to enhance individual modalities and multi-modality work together, with international guests, Dr Marion Debus from Switzerland (Oncology), Dr Katharina Gerlach from Germany (Eurythmy Therapy) and from Australia, Charlotte Rogers (Anthroposophical Nursing, Art and Massage Therapy) and Lisa Devine (Pastoral Medicine and Grief).
This is followed by a three day General conference featuring case studies and presentations from both keynote speakers alongside local presenters. Download the full Conference Program here.
